What’s New?
Jen and Jill give a spoiler to the many more things that will come your way starting today. That includes:
- New Podcast Formats. Life is progressing, and so is technology! Moving forward, Jen and Jill will be shifting away from articles to focus more on your needs, integrating AI to enhance their tips and strategies.
- @WeeklyMoneyMove on Instagram. To make navigating our content easier, we’ll share the weekly money move with an explanation on how to make it happen. It’s released every Monday before the Sunday Reset and will also be included in The Friendletter on the same day.
- The Sunday Reset. This new segment is a 30-minute video on their YouTube channel where Jen and Jill go over the weekly money moves, meal plans, and answer a listener’s question.
- Spending Intervention. Also on YouTube, this segment features a guest listener to discuss their spending habits, what’s working, what’s not, and how they can improve going forward. This premieres on 4/16, don’t miss it!
Insights from Mega Survey Results
Jen and Jill let you know the results of the recent Mega Survey Results that they’ve collected so you can have a caveat of what’s in store for you this coming new season of Frugal Friends.
According to the survey:
- Most respondents want to focus on buying quality over quantity, so expect more “how to save money” episodes with high-value strategies.
- Many respondents are interested in retirement planning, so they’re adding more content on investing here and on The Sunday Reset.
- 55% of respondents earn over $100K, and 70% make over $75K, but they’ll still share tips on finding free and budget-friendly options for everyone.
- 54% don’t have kids at home, but since many do, they’ll make an effort to cover more family-focused topics too!
What are you most excited about in this new era?
Jen is excited most about the uniqueness of the Spending Intervention segment, while Jill feels invigorated by this new season and is looking forward to creating more helpful content.

Thanks so Much for Listening!
Thanks so much for listening. We love love love reading your kind reviews of our book Buy What You Love Without Going Broke and we especially loved this one from:
✰✰✰✰✰
This is THE personal finance and mindset book of the year. Disclaimer: I do work for the Frugal Friends so I was able to read portions of this book prior to release, but I did sit down like everyone else and read the book in it's entirety upon release day (Jan. 7th). I am not getting paid, etc. by the authors for this review, I just genuinely like them as people and love their content. Jen & Jill have a popular podcast (Frugal Friends podcast) that has seen countless episodes, dozens of interviews, and growth over the last few years. If you're looking for a step-by-step plan to payoff your debt, this isn't the book. What this book IS about is community, spending and saving in accordance with your values, and looking at the whole person and big picture so that we can form good money habits for the rest of our lives, and not in the short term. This review is just a teeny snippet of what the book is really about. I think everyone needs to read it because it encourages a kinder, more thoughtful approach to our finances that advocates for LIVING life while ALSO paying off debt, saving for retirement, etc. Please don't hesitate to pick up this book. It will change your whole perspective going into 2025 🥰
