What Willingness & “Enough” Can Do for You

For the first half of the money decisions, Jen and Jill center on willingness and finding what “enough” looks like for you. They focus on the reality of your present self, looking at your financial goals while also assessing the boundaries of what you’re willing to do to achieve them. This helps draw a line between what you can say yes or no to when faced with a financial decision.

Moreover, they ask questions that encourage us to reflect on what contentment looks like for us, using that as a reflection of our “enough.” It reframes “enough” as the goal rather than simply aiming for the minimum needed to get by.

What Happens After You Reach Your Financial Goals

In the next half, Jen and Jill transition into what happens once you’ve achieved your financial goals and what you’ll do from there. Beyond the lifestyle changes that may follow, they also explore the question of what financial risks you’re willing to take. Because not every money decision is a guaranteed win, understanding your personal risk tolerance and finding your comfort zone can give you more clarity and confidence when making financial decisions.

Are there any on the list you haven’t decided?

Jill hasn’t decided yet how much they will give their kids. Likewise, Jen has yet to sit down and determine how much they want to contribute to their kids and how they’ll communicate those decisions with them in the future.
